Terms and Conditions

Campaign name: No Woman Builds Alone (the "Campaign")

Sponsor: Huumans Canada Inc. ("Huumans," "we," "us")

Campaign period: October 1, 2026 (12:00 AM ET) to October 31, 2026 (11:59 PM ET)

Wall of Thanks publication: to be shared with the entire e-mail list on or about the first week of November 1, 2026

Effective date: October 1, 2026

This is not a contest. There are no prizes, no draws, no voting and no winners. Participating does not require a purchase, an account or any payment, and does not affect any application you make for Huumans products or financing.

By submitting a thank-you through the Campaign, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (the "Terms").

1. About the Campaign

No Woman Builds Alone invites entrepreneurs across Canada to publicly thank a woman entrepreneur or mentor who helped them build their business, during Women's History Month in Canada. Thank yous may be published on the Huumans "Wall of Thanks" and the women thanked may receive a thank-you note from Huumans after their e-mail is supplied.

2. Who Can Participate

You may submit a thank-you if you are the age of majority in your province or territory of residence and a resident of Canada, excluding Quebec. You do not need to be a Huumans customer or user. Anyone can participate including employees of Huumans may participate, but their submissions may be labelled as such.

3. How to Participate

  1. Complete the form on the Campaign page with your name, your company, your email address, the name of the woman you are thanking (the "Nominee"), her company, her email address, and a short description of what she did for you.
  2. Optionally, upload a photo of yourself holding a sign with your thank-you note.

You may submit more than one thank-you, one per Nominee. Huumans may combine duplicate submissions about the same Nominee. Submissions received after the Campaign period may be accepted or declined at our discretion.

4. Submission Content Rules

Your thank you must be true, written by you, and about a real woman who actually helped you. Huumans will not publish, and may remove at any time, any submission that contains:

  • false, misleading or defamatory statements about anyone;
  • private or sensitive information about the Nominee or anyone else, such as health, financial details, personal addresses or phone numbers;
  • profanity, hate speech, harassment, or sexual or violent content;
  • political or religious messaging;
  • promotion of a competitor of Huumans, or advertising for your own business beyond naming it;
  • third-party copyrighted material, music, logos or trademarks you do not have permission to use;
  • AI-generated or altered likenesses of real people;
  • anything Huumans considers, in its sole discretion, inconsistent with the spirit of the Campaign.

5. Photos

Photos are optional. If you upload one, you confirm that you took it or have the right to use it, that every identifiable person in it has agreed to its publication, and that no person under the age of majority appears in it without written consent from a parent or guardian, which you will provide on request. Huumans may crop, resize or decline to publish any photo.

6. Information About the Woman You Thank

By giving us the Nominee's name, company and email address, you confirm that:

  • the information is accurate and is her business contact information, not a personal account you obtained privately;
  • you are not aware of any reason she would object to being contacted by Huumans about your thank-you.

Huumans will use the Nominee's information only to send her the thank-you note described in Section 7, to confirm her consent to publication under Section 8, and to keep a record of her choices. Huumans will add your name to a marketing list, but not the Nominee.

7. Thank-You Notes to Nominees

Huumans intends to send each Nominee one email letting her know she was thanked, including your name and your message. The note will identify Huumans, include our mailing address, and let her decline any further contact. It will not ask her to buy or apply for anything. Huumans may decline to send a note, for example where a submission breaks Section 4 or the email address appears invalid. Sending notes is not guaranteed.

8. The Wall of Thanks

Huumans plans to publish selected thank-yous on the Wall of Thanks on or about November 1, 2026, on huumans.com, and may share them on Huumans social media channels and in Campaign announcements.

  • By default, the Wall shows first and last names only (for example, "Mei, thanking Li Hua") with your message and, if you provided one, your photo.
  • The Nominee may ask that her name be removed or that the thank-you be removed entirely, and Huumans will honour that request.
  • Huumans decides which submissions are published and is not required to publish any submission. Progress counters on the Campaign page are approximate.

9. License to Your Submission

You keep ownership of your message and photo. You grant Huumans a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, display, edit for length and format, and distribute your submission, together with your first name, company name (where permitted under Section 8) and likeness in any photo, on the Wall of Thanks, huumans.com, Huumans social media, newsletters sent to people who opted in, and press materials about the Campaign. This license lasts until you ask us to remove your submission; removal applies going forward and does not require us to recall material already printed or shared by others.

You waive any moral rights in your submission to the extent needed for Huumans to edit it for length, format or clarity, provided the edits do not change its meaning.

10. Moderation and Removal

Huumans may review, edit for length or clarity, decline or remove any submission at any time, without notice. To remove your own submission, email customersupport@huumans.com. Requests are processed within 10 business days.

11. Email Communications

Campaign emails. By submitting, you agree that Huumans may email you about your submission: a confirmation, questions about your thank-you or photo, and notice when the Wall of Thanks is published. These are transactional messages, not marketing.

Marketing emails if you tick the separate opt-in checkbox on the form, Huumans Inc. may send you emails about Huumans products and services, including small business financing, events, resources and future campaigns. Opting in is not a condition of participating. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us at customersupport@huumans.com. Unsubscribe requests take effect within 10 business days.

Nominees. The Nominee is not added to any mailing list because of your submission. She receives only the note described in Section 7, plus any reply to a request she makes. She may opt in herself.

12. Privacy

Huumans collects your name, company, email address, message, optional photo, and the Nominee's name, company and email address. We use this information to run the Campaign, send the notes described in Section 7, publish the Wall of Thanks as described in Section 8, and, where you opted in, send marketing emails. We do not sell personal information. We keep Campaign records for up to 24 months after the Campaign ends, except that we keep opt-in and unsubscribe records as long as needed to prove compliance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation. Information may be stored on servers outside Canada by our service providers.

You and the Nominee may ask to access, correct or delete personal information about you by contacting customersupport@huumans.com. See our Privacy Policy at https://www.huumans.com/privacy-policy for full details.

13. Your Promises to Huumans

You confirm that your submission follows these Terms, that you have the rights described in Sections 5, 6 and 9, and that publishing it will not violate anyone's rights. You agree to indemnify Huumans against claims by third parties arising from your submission breaking these Terms.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Huumans is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete or misdirected submissions, technical failures, or how third parties use content after it is published. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

15. Changes and Cancellation

Huumans may modify, suspend or end the Campaign, or update these Terms, at any time. Changes apply to submissions made after they are posted. Any change to how we use your personal information will be handled under our Privacy Policy, and we will not use your email for marketing without your opt-in.

16. Governing Law and Contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Questions: customersupport@huumans.com.
